Knowing what you want to say and finding the words in the moment can feel very different. Our ESL Conversation Circle gives you a welcoming place to practise using English with others.
At AlphaLogic Career College in London, Ontario, guided conversations help you strengthen speaking and listening skills through practical topics. Beginner and intermediate options allow you to work on communication that feels relevant to your current level.

English for Real Conversations
Everyday Speaking
Practise explaining your needs, sharing experiences and responding during the kinds of conversations you encounter outside the classroom.
Workplace Communication
Build confidence talking with colleagues, asking questions and making sure you understand what someone needs you to do.
Listening and Clarification
Develop ways to ask someone to repeat, rephrase or explain a point when you need more time to understand.
Useful Vocabulary
Active Participation
Take part in partner activities, role-plays and group discussions, with an emphasis on giving you time to speak.
Feedback on Progress
Begin with an in-person speaking assessment, then review your development through follow-up speaking assessments every four weeks.

A conversation can be the start of a working relationship, a friendship or a useful exchange of information. Practising in a supportive group gives you space to try an unfamiliar expression and ask a question before using it elsewhere.
Each weekly lesson has its own focus. Continuous intake and flexible participation mean you can discuss a joining point and length of study that suit your goals.
